Our Story
Shams Group began in 2011 with a handful of engineers and a single road-maintenance contract in Kabul province. What started as a small construction outfit has grown into a multidisciplinary contractor spanning construction, logistics, transport, and electrical infrastructure — built one project, one client relationship, and one trained crew at a time. Today, our teams operate across more than 30 provinces, but the founding principle hasn't changed: build things that last, and deliver on every promise we make.

A dedicated logistics and freight division is added, expanding the company's fleet to support humanitarian and commercial cargo movement.
Da Shams Modaser Construction & Logistic Services is established, taking on its first road-maintenance contracts in Kabul province.
Shams Group is awarded its first large-scale bridge construction project, marking its entry into heavy civil engineering.
In response to growing demand, the company launches an electrical infrastructure division specializing in power distribution networks.
Operations expand to over 30 provinces, with Shams Group recognized as one of the country's leading multidisciplinary contractors.

Khalid Sahar
Media Manager
Khalid Sahar is an Afghan journalist and media and communications professional with more than seven years of experience. He has worked with local and national media organizations in news reporting, content production, and writing. Khalid currently serves as Director of Publications at Shams Modasser Construction and Logistics Company, where he is responsible for the company’s media and publication activities.
